Teaching since 2016….
Hello there, my name is Yuli Michalaki and I’ve been teaching for 4 years since 2016. I’ve been a practising student for a decade, and like many of you, when I first found yoga and meditation and practised on my own I wasn’t sure if I was ‘doing it right’ so it took me some time to find my flow with it.
It was when I started to attend Classical Hatha and Kundalini Yoga classes around 8 years a go that I fell in love with yoga and it just clicked, I instantly felt connected to the benefits during one class: physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I was deeply moved. These traditions of yoga and the way they were delivered had an impact on me. And to summarise that period of self-study, I was captivated and inspired by the practises, I had to learn more.
After more years of learning and practise, I studied Himalayan Hatha Yoga with Yogi Ashokananda in 2016 and graduated as a qualified teacher in October that year. I then graduated as a Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher in the following year. Since those early years I’ve also completed a Yoga Nidra teacher training in 2020, delving deeper into the world of guided relaxation.
